Harry's New York Bar Official Website

Sister bar to Harry's in Paris, the Bloody Mary's birthplace, this is a modern version with a Cold War twist, set in the Grand Hotel Esplanade. Opened in 1988, near the end of the freeze, mixologists build Martini's under portraits of US presidents while a jazzman tinkles on the piano.

PROFILE

Glamorous when the Communist east was just over the wall, now it's more frivolous and fun.

The minute you walk through the doors, you'll see why Harry's New-York Bar resides atop of every Berlin bar guide. Step back to a time when the key elements for unforgettable nights were great drinks, great music, and great friends.

Meet and greet new acquaintances from around the world. Enjoy music filling the room from a jazzman tickling the ivories. Known for its international drink menu consisting of nearly 200 choices, Harry's is one of the most popular bars in Berlin, Germany.

Harry's is an aggressively stylized bar with minimalist decor, pop art, and photographs of all the American presidents. It's modeled after the famous watering hole, Harry's New York Bar, in Paris.

Its drink menu is a monument to the oral traditions of the International Bar Flies (IBF) Society and includes such favorites as "Mizner's Dream" (created in 1962 for the Boca Raton Hotel Club in Florida) and the 1964 classic "The Petrifier" (ingredients unlisted), for two.

The menu lists almost 200 drinks, as well as a limited selection of food. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
